Change of Clothing for Manhattan Laundry Building, From Charter School to Offices for Tech Startups
New daytime traffic and office space will be the use of the Manhattan Laundry building on Florida Avenue, NW between 13th and 14th Streets, NW, according to Washington City Paper's Lydia DePillis in her Housing Complex column.
The building has been used by the Meridian Public Charter school, which is in the process of moving to old Harrison Elementary School on 13th Street, NW. The new tenants will be a loose coalition of tech startups that will use the building as a home base for their creative endeavors.
DePillis profiled the building move and the tech startups in two recent columns, "Manhattan Laundry to Become Startup Crashpad" and "Silicon Valley NW."
