Metro Police Make Arrest in U Street Metro Stabbing
The Washington Post and NewsChannel 8 both report today the arrest of an 18-year-old woman from Southwest DC in connection to a stabbing last Saturday night at the U Street/Cardozo Metro station.According to The Washington Post:
"Dekeria Green was taken into custody last night by Metro police and charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon.Investigators say Green was involved in a dispute that broke out between two groups inside the Republic nightclub at 13th and U streets NW."
Both stories also quote a Metro spokesperson saying that the stabbing stemmed from a fight that started in the Republic Gardens nightclub on U Street and that more arrests are possible.
