The Friends of Harrison Recreation Center committee is busy! After wrapping the successful first "U Street Movie Series - Harrison Under the Stars," the Friends of Harrison will be meeting on October 18, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the recreation center, 1330 V Street, NW.

This will be the first meeting with the new Friends of Harrison chair, Ms. Manisha Modi, and the new Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) site manager for Harrison, Ms. Toni Plater-McBride. 

Items of discussion for the meeting include new partnerships to support improved programs and facilities,  a fall cleanup day, and a Halloween party for kids of all ages to be held on October 29.
